About 40% of real estate sales in Russia are for “one-room” apartments and studio apartments. The latter are considered a more affordable option, making them ideal as first homes for young couples, students, and individuals without families. The area of modern studios starts from 13–15 m2, so 30 m2 is considered quite a large space for an apartment without partitions. This area allows designers to unleash their creativity. There is plenty of room to maneuver – both literally and metaphorically. Typically, specialists are reluctant to take on the design of a 30-square-meter studio.
Advantages of apartments without partitions
Buyers choose studio apartments not only for financial reasons. In the USA, as early as the mid-20th century, this type of housing was considered elite: it was purchased by Hollywood stars, bohemian representatives, and creative individuals. In Russia, studio apartments began to appear only in the 1990s. Modern Russians not only buy studios in new buildings but also undertake renovations of their old apartments. What are the advantages of housing without partitions?

Of course, such a partition can be made from regular drywall, but designers prefer other materials.
